In the fall of 2008, Rick and his sons launched the FamTeam Footage section. The newly-created department (which has been on the website's main page since its inception) is a direct descendant of the Safe At Home TV show, a program that has been airing in portions of the Midwest for more than a decade.

On the evening of Wednesday, April 1, 1998 (Rick's 42nd birthday), the Safe At Home television show debuted on the Charter cable channel in the St. Louis and southwestern Illinois region. The hour-long program has been on the air, in an unbroken fashion, since that time, and has, throughout its history, offered its viewers an opportunity to "participate" with the family in a wide range of activities, including vacations, ministry events, and the ordinary adventures of everyday life within the Arndt household. (The show currently airs Wednesdays at 4:00 PM on St. Louis Charter Channel 18.)

The FamTeam Footage section is, in essence, a miniature version of its television "parent," as it offers viewers "snack-sized" segments of video footage, each of which has been carefully trimmed and edited for use in this section of the website.

For a number of years, video footage was presented to FamTeam visitors via the Video Of The Day and Video Of The Week departments. Although both of these sections have been discontinued (replaced, of course, by the FamTeam Footage feature), the video segments that appeared within them over the years have been preserved within the FamTeam Archives. To download old Video Of The Day and Video Of The Week archives, click here.

(Note: This department will be updated each Tuesday, at which time the previous week's FamTeam Footage installment will be placed into the FamTeam Archives, where it will be stored on a long-term basis. All FamTeam Archives are available to Family Room members. In order to learn more about the Family Room and its many features, please click here.)
